Eatyard at Beatyard Line-Up
Eatyard returns to its home of Beatyard this August, bigger and better than ever celebrating all that is great about when music and food come together. Think about the best house parties you’ve been to and how everyone ends up in the kitchen? That’s pretty much what we’re planning….
What’s a party these days without a bit of wine & cheese? We’re getting a bit swanky down at the Beatyard adding a taste of Eatyard Wine & Cheese Festival to the weekend. It’s all the fun, without the intimidation, and a stellar selection of boutique wine and cheese vendors selling stuff you’ll want to drink and buy. Wines Direct, Ely Wine Bar, Quintessential Wines and more TBA will be pouring delicious wines all weekend. Our Eatyard Stage will host tastings with top sommeliers and a very special Champagne Supernova tasting with Susan and Judith Boyle to wrap things up on Sunday. Punters can chow down on cheese boards from Cooleeney, Corleggy and lots more Irish and artisan tastings.
We have a festival first with one of our favourite pairings Pizza & Prosecco. The Big Blue Bus, a 1979 double-decker bus converted into a pizza restaurant, will serve stonebaked pizzas made from organic, unbleached flour, piled high with locally sourced toppings alongside our dinky Citroën H Van pouring all manner of fizz.
The Crisp Festival will make an appearance too, because we Wheelie love crisps, the darlings of our nostalgic taste buds featuring our retro Tuck Shop with all your old favourites, crisp inspired fairground games, crisp sambos and more.
Our Eatyard Stage will bring all the good times you’d expect at a great house party. Wine and cheese tasting, expert entertainers James Kavanagh & William Murray will bring a taste of their brand new cookbook, Currabinny. Chef Danni Barry from award-winning Clenaghans is back for some more cooking fun. There’ll be dancing from Lords of Strutt, zero-commitment choir Sing Along Social and the raucous Bingo Loco over the weekend.
Our mouth-watering line of food trucks will help keep you fueled all weekend including street food favourites Box Burger, The Big Blue Bus, Jaru, How Bao Now, Pang, Avo Nice Day, Cloud Picker Coffee, Teddy’s Ice Cream, Sweet Churro, Zukos Bakery, The Vegan Kitchen, Handsome Burger, Pieman, Dog House, Donut Trike, Flamin Marvelous, Tram Chowder
There’s plenty to keep kids big and small occupied when not dancing or scoffing with Kidsyard hosted by Imaginosity bringing a pop up of their interactive children’s museum down to Beatyard. It’ll be hands-on fun, games & learning. Kidsyard always has its own dedicated toilet & changing area, face painting and balloons and kids tickets can be purchased for only €5 (3-12ys) under 2 yrs go free. For slightly older kids we have Studioyard, where we will have Coder Dojo, Lego building, music production and much more to be announced. features all over the festival like CoderDojo, Imaginosity and Create Sound.
What’s a party without a few cold ones? The Beatyard bar line up includes Becks, Brewtonic’s Craft Beer Bar with Four20 Hemp ale, Nautical Boogie IPA and a passion fruit Berliner weisse, Five Lamps Liberties Ale, Monto Red and their hugely popular lager. Cocktails will come from Dingle Gin, Beefeater Gin and Jameson. There’s even going to be Buckfast Bike…
